“A Belnap by any other name . . . .” Click on the link below for an interesting current story on a distant relative, William Shakespeare, 5th great grandchild of Sir Robert Belknap (born about 1330-died 1401), who served as Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas of England from 1374-1388. “Cousin Willy” is in the news this time regarding the possible confirmation that his skull was stolen from his burial place in Stratford-upon-Avon. So, whodunit?? Or is this much ado about nothing??
