Passing of W. Dean Belnap

W. Dean Belnap, president of the Belnap Family Organization from 1974-1976 and compiler of the landmark history on the Belnap family, Heritage With Honor, passed away on January 27, 2017.  His funeral services, held on February 4, 2017 in Kaysville, Utah, and presided over by President Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, were an inspiring testament to the strength of faith and family.  Dean exemplified Gospel service and commitment, and left a wonderful legacy while walking the path of discipleship.  President Nelson, after reviewing his close association with Dean, whom he called his “dear colleague and friend,” looked at Dean’s tremendous posterity and stated:  “by their fruits ye shall know them.” He concluded his remarks with an apostolic blessing on the family.  Missionaries from the England London East Mission who served under Dean as their mission president formed an honor line as the casket was escorted from the chapel in a moving final tribute to an extraordinary life.  Thank you, Dean, for blessing your immediate and extended family.
